So we are not really mountaineers and the overuse of the metaphor is getting thin up here, but knowing that we have a sense of humor about the situation is paramount. Joking aside, Mining Everest is all about getting to the data in the database, cleaning what’s necessary and reporting on what’s relevant. We’ve been working with Everest for over 10 years writing custom reports and web modules, tuning the database and providing end-user support. Through it all we’ve seen just about everything from sql-injection attacks to cripplingly slow queries to some seriously annoyed end-users.
We start by uncovering common gotchas within the data. Invalid characters, and codes that throw index errors. The primary focus is on the Cust, Address, Invoice and X_Invoice tables.
Because we focus on customer metrics, we start by cleaning the customer and address data. We'll identify duplicates accounts and we'll identify addresses that don't correlate to the customer accounts. This is where we'll also add geocodeing tags.
Once we've gotten this far, we're digging into the data and determining what your customers are up to. With a little bit of access, we'll write custom reports or export directly to excel.
Interested in pushing your data to SalesForce? Look no further. Our SalesForce and Everest Gurus will get your data moved over and we can provide initial training to boot.
